Moritz Dörstelmann ist Professor für Digital Design and Fabrication (DDF) am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) und Gründungsgesellschafter der FibR GmbH. In seiner wissenschaftlichen Arbeit untersucht er digitale kreislaufgerechte Bauweisen an der interdisziplinären Schnittstelle von Forschung und Lehre durch die Erprobung innovativer Materialsysteme und Konstruktionstechnologien im 1:1-Maßstab in anwendungsorientierten Demonstratorprojekten. Sein Bauunternehmen FibR GmbH realisiert ressourceneffiziente Faserverbund-Leichtbaustrukturen für Tragwerke, Fassaden und Innenausbauten mit computerbasierten Entwurfsmethoden und robotischer Fertigung im industriellen Maßstab. An der Schnittstelle von anwendungsorientierter akademischer Forschung und forschungsorientierter industrieller Praxis zeigt Moritz Dörstelmann, wie digitale Entwurfs- und Fertigungsstrategien genutzt werden können, um den Wandel zur Kreislaufwirtschaft im Bauwesen zu ermöglichen und gleichzeitig ein neuartiges architektonisches Gestaltungs- und Konstruktionsrepertoire zu erschließen. --- English: Moritz Dörstelmann is Professor of Digital Design and Fabrication (DDF) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and founding partner of FibR GmbH. In his scientific work, he investigates digital circular construction methods at the interdisciplinary interface of research and teaching by testing innovative material systems and construction technologies on a 1:1 scale in application-oriented demonstrator projects. His construction company FibR GmbH realises resource-efficient fibre composite lightweight structures for load-bearing structures, façades and interior fittings using computer-based design methods and robotic production on an industrial scale. At the interface between application-oriented academic research and research-oriented industrial practice, Moritz Dörstelmann shows how digital design and manufacturing strategies can be used to enable the transition to a circular economy in the construction industry and at the same time open up a new type of architectural design and construction repertoire.
