Matthias Pfeifer

Er war bis Ende 2025 bei RKW Architektur + in Düsseldorf tätig, zuletzt als Partner und Mitglied der Geschäftsführung. Ein Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeit liegt in der Digitalisierung des Planens und Bauens, insbesondere im Bereich Building Information Modeling (BIM). Aktuell ist er Vorsitzender des BIM Cluster NRW, Vorstandsmitglied der Architektenkammer Nordrhein-Westfalen (AKNW) sowie Vorsitzender des Ausschusses für Beruf, Innovation und Digitalisierung der AKNW. Zudem ist er Vorstandsmitglied der BIM Allianz e. V. und Vorsitzender des Gestaltungsbeirats der Stadt Moers. Matthias Pfeifer studied architecture at RWTH Aachen University and, as a DAAD scholarship recipient, at Delft University of Technology (the Netherlands). Until the end of 2025, he worked at RKW Architektur + in Düsseldorf, most recently as a partner and member of the management board. A key focus of his work is the digitalization of planning and construction processes, particularly in the field of Building Information Modeling (BIM). He currently serves as Chair of the BIM Cluster NRW, is a board member of the Chamber of Architects of North Rhine-Westphalia (AKNW), and chairs the AKNW Committee for Professional Development, Innovation, and Digitalization. He is also a board member of the BIM Alliance and Chair of Moers’ Design Advisory Board.
