Lecture description
In order to respond flexibly to the requirements of different projects, it is particularly necessary to automate the automation process itself as far as possible. To this end, new approaches are being developed and tested at the ICD at the University of Stuttgart as part of the IntCDC Cluster of Excellence. These approaches enable the adaptive generation of complex building models and the direct derivation of robotic action instructions. By means of modular manufacturing hardware, production setups can furthermore be adapted to specific project requirements within a short period of time. This is demonstrated through the digital planning and fabrication of several large-scale building demonstrators.
