A wealth of recurring tasks – fields of activity that have long since been solved by robots and controlled digitally in the automotive sector, for example – still need to be carried out on our construction sites by hand and with physical strength. However, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning form an important foundation here for making planning and building more automated, efficient and high-quality in future. And AI reduces the strain on the many people who go about their challenging work every day on construction sites and in architecture and planning offices.

digitalBAU 2022 - Smart Building

digitalBAU presents products & solutions of smart building from May 31 - June 3, 2022. The term “smart building” refers to single-purpose buildings, i.e. office and retail properties, research, administration, production and logistics buildings in which the essential functions for building control are automated and networked with one another. Unlike in a smart home, where a task is carried out separately by sensors or chips, in a smart building they are connected to each other in and on the building in order to ensure the automation of individual functions and the interaction with the other technical applications and systems.
