Lecture description
Construction systems in architecture are often subject to preconceptions regarding their design possibilities. This presentation will demonstrate that innovative solutions disprove these assumptions: numerous references and projects clearly show that sophisticated and presentable architecture is also possible with serial and modular construction methods. With parallels to the Bauhaus concept. The strengths of serial construction are highlighted—from efficiency and cost-effectiveness to flexibility and individuality in design. In addition, it will be explained how early planning with modern building systems opens up new possibilities for designers and enables optimal use of land as well as individual interior and exterior design.
