The presentation highlights the potential of serial and modular construction as a response to current challenges such as skilled labour shortages and rising construction costs. It compares large historical housing estates with modern approaches and highlights advantages such as optimised manufacturing processes, shorter construction times and flexibility. Examples are used to illustrate possible applications in residential construction. The focus is on modular and serial construction as a sustainable solution against the backdrop of increasing complexity and reporting requirements.
