ERP systems promise order, control, and efficiency. In construction companies, they often have the opposite effect. They cement poor processes, enforce rigid workflows, and generate enormous maintenance costs. The reality on construction sites, in purchasing, and in project management does not fit into standards. AI does not change this. It only accelerates the wrong things if the foundation is not right. The presentation dispels myths, highlights structural errors in thinking, and explains why processes, responsibilities, and data logic come before software.
