Lecture description
Digital twins of buildings are virtual, dynamic representations of real buildings that integrate data from planning, construction, operation, and maintenance throughout their entire lifecycle, often based on BIM models, sensors, and real-time information. They enable simulations, predictive maintenance, energy optimization, space management, and improved decision-making by mapping the building's condition in real time and calculating future scenarios, thus increasing efficiency, safety, and sustainability. The goal is the intelligent building that optimizes itself based on existing data. Mobile realtiy capturing solutions are fast and cost efficient to deliver the basis for the Digital twin.
